The Williams 1502LDINAW is a torsion-beam dial torque wrench with a shock-resistant dial (protected by a metal guard) and a memory needle that holds the peak reading after the pull, so you don’t have to watch the dial in real time to catch the number. 3/8″ drive, 0-150 in-lb (0-18 Nm) dual-scale range.

Unlike a click wrench, a dial wrench shows torque continuously as you apply it rather than signaling only at one preset point — useful for methods that call for a documented reading rather than a go/no-go click, or where you want to watch the torque build in real time. Accuracy is ±2% of indicated value, both CW and CCW, from 20-100% of full scale, meeting or exceeding ASME B107.300 and ISO 6789. Individually serialized with a NIST-traceable certificate of calibration.

This bidirectional accuracy makes it a fit for check-torquing (re-verifying a fastener that’s already been torqued) as well as initial torquing, since it reads accurately whichever direction you turn it.

**How often does this need to be recalibrated?** Williams recommends annual recalibration for tools in regular use, or sooner if the tool is dropped, used outside its rated range, or run at high frequency in production. Keep the original NIST-traceable calibration certificate on file for your quality records.

**What standards does it meet?** Meets or exceeds ASME B107.300 (the current consolidated standard for hand torque tools, superseding the older B107.14) and ISO 6789. Each unit is individually serialized and ships with its own certificate of calibration.

**Can it be used in both directions?** Check the accuracy spec above — some models are calibrated clockwise (CW) only, others bidirectionally (CW/CCW). Using a CW-only tool for critical CCW work will not give a certified reading.
