Torque Calibration

20160304_084808-torque-wrench-calibration-cropHave you been stuck on the side of the road in the rain trying to remove and over tightened lug nut?

Overtightened a bolt or screw and it broke on a Sunday afternoon? Had parts fall off your motorcycle while you’re driving down the road? Couldn’t get the lid off the jar, and missed the kickoff? Well hopefully not the latter! That’s where torque calibration comes in. So often we hear I used a torque wrench or I just bought that torque screwdriver, it’s new, it doesn’t need calibrated!

If you’re the gambling type and it wasn’t calibrated on a regular basis, chances are things are probably getting dicey.

Our technicians at Instrument Calibration Solutions utilize CDI and Snap-On torque calibration systems. They are laboratory grade instruments which capture torque measurements by tracking the current value for torque meters or by determining the peak value for breakaway type torque instruments. High precision torque transducers provide system readings with an accuracy of ±0.25% of indicated value.

ICS can calibrate a wide range of torque products to meet our customer’s needs, including but not limited to:

  • Click Type (breakaway) Torque Wrenches
  • Analog and Digital Torque Meters
  • Torque Screwdrivers
  • Pneumatic and Electronic Torque Application Devices
  • Both Unidirectional and Bidirectional
  • Adjustable or Fixed Value
